Shannon Mori
Shannon Mori was born outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to supportive parents who always encouraged her to follow her dreams. She has had a passion for writing and a love of animals since she was a child. Combining both into books that children and their parents not only will love to read, but also will learn something about themselves, others, and the world around them at the same time is her dream come true! Shannon earned a B.A. in Communications with a minor in French at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. She then found a career in the resort industry which led her to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she met Vince, her husband, soulmate and partner in life, love, parenting and all the amazing adventures they have created. Vince and Shannon then started their family in southern California with their intelligent, kind son, Charlie, who inspired a new level of learning about animals with frequent requests to read encyclopedia after encyclopedia to quench his curiosity. After a move to San Antonio and then Austin, Texas, their bright, compassionate daughter, Sophia, joined the family, inspiring a new level of creativity and boldness with new songs and stories filling their home. Shannon's family are her inspiration for everything. They all share an infallible love for animals and their five pets are each a special part of the family. Their pets include their two dogs, Champ and Dolce, their two cats, Suki and Lucky, and Austin the axolotl. After a move back to the desert in Arizona, Shannon and her family now reside close to the beach in sunny Florida, where the dream of becoming a writer has been fulfilled. Her Pawsome Pals Book Series features pets with problems and their pals that help their pets sort through them.
